Game is slugish and bad controls

So, picked this game up, only had one review and I personally love me some RTS. but this game is currently really hard to play. Starts up just fine, but does some weird narrow view. Has no options, has no tool tips when you are trying to figure out what building is what. Just a lot of things that without any information, it is hard to even like this game let alone play it in its current state.
If you are used to other RTS games, I would not advice this one tell they over hual the UI.
